With Pride And Integrity . . .
Meet the Fossil Ridge High School Band!
Welcome to the website for the Panther Regiment from Fossil Ridge High School in Keller Independent School District, Texas.
Under the direction of Mike Sisco and Al Paulson, the Panther Regiment and concert ensembles have earned a wide variety of honors, including back-to-back appearances in the UIL State Finals in San Antonio in 2007-2008. The Drumline and Color Guard have also earned a variety of prestigious awards. Fossil Ridge High School's instrumental music program has produced numerous regional, area and state honor band musicians, hundreds of 1-rated soloists and ensembles and a number of students who have gone on to major in music at some of the top music schools in the country.
The band's repertoire features a wide range of music, everything from Respighi and Shostakovich to Percy Grainger to Maynard Ferguson and Gary Glitter. The Panther Regiment's 2009 Contest Show was "Alone in the Dark" featuring the musical soundtrack from the video game of the same name.
The Panther Regiment focuses on hard work, competition and a commitment to musical excellence, but the program also emphasizes having fun. The members of the Panther Regiment put in long hours and work tremendously hard, and they develop an amazing level of pride and self-confidence while having a terrific time. The skills they learn - teamwork, commitment, character, accountability, leadership, self-discipline - are valuable lessons that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Not surprisingly, Panther Regiment members consistently rank at the top of their class academically and are leaders in student council, athletics and other school organizations.
